ancient traditions of winemaking with modern technologies. The receipt of grapes in fermentation casks; the use of gravity through the winery's ceiling; the aging of the wine in oak barrels placed in a rock cave; the presence of the pure and clear air of the Jerusalem mountains – all are brought together in our wine, as expressions of the yearning for Zion and the glory of ancient days. Many wine presses are to be found in these hills, evidence of the proliferation of winemaking in bygone eras. Directly in front of our very eyes, the area looks back to its past and reconstructs it with hundreds of acres of fine grapes and boutique wineries, all providing first-class, high quality wines. The Jerusalem Mountain Winery was founded by Yohai Noy and Yaakov Goldberg in 2007 and produces 4000 bottles a year. The wine is Kosher L'mehadrin for Pesach and year round, under the supervision of the Gush Etzion Rabbinate. Visits and tasting by appointment.
